This Week: 23 January 2013

Every time it rains, it rains pennies from heaven...
Don't you know each cloud contains pennies from heaven...

This THURSDAY, bring your picnic supplies, and dogs, to Centennial Park for a light show and gypsy jazz with Chasing the Moon, from 7pm.  FRIDAY, make your way down to Swing Pit, 9pm, there'll be plenty of room to swing out!  There is a new Level 2 class beforehand at 7pm, and a Level 1 class at 8pm.  Harbourside Jump returns to The Bar at the End of the Wharf, Pier 4, 9:30pm; and the Aston Martinis at Club Five Dock, 8pm.  SATURDAY, for something more energetic there's the Jive Bombers over at Club Five Dock, 8pm; or the Flaming Stars at Eastern Suburbs Leagues Club, 8pm; The Drey Rollan Band at the Opera Bar, 5.30pm.  SUNDAY, Geoff Bull will be swinging at the East Sydney Hotel, Woolloomooloo, 5pm; or the Aston Martinis will be over at Club Five Dock again, this time in Sunday arvo quartet-mode, 4pm; and the Unity Hall Jazz Band, as always, over in Balmain, 4pm.

So when you hear it thunder, don't run under a tree...
There'll be pennies from heaven for you and me...
