This FRIDAY, the "Sydney Swings" concerts continue at the Botanic Gardens - 2 hours of tunes by composers Gershwin, Porter and Bernstein, with the John Morrison Big Band, 7:30pm (see below). Then you can head over to Jump Jive and Wail for more dancing, 'til late! SATURDAY, Swing at the Roxbury, Glebe, 8:30pm. More "Sydney Swings" with The Harry James Angus Band, Botanic Gardens, 7:30pm. If you're feeling "loud", don your loud shirt for a night out with the Blue Riff Big Band at Chatswood High School Hall for a fund raising event, includes swing dance lesson at 7pm. SUNDAY, head outdoors for a swing picnic down at Coogee Beach 11am-1pm; and then "Sydney Swings" with David Campbell a la Bobby Darrin, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. mode, Botanic Gardens, 6pm. Also, check out the Swinging Blades, Marrickville Golf Club, 3:30pm; Unity Hall Jazz Band, Balmain, 4pm; and Geoff Bull and the Finer Cuts at East Sydney Hotel, Woolloomooloo, 5pm.
