This Week: 26 April 2012

This week has seen Ben settling into his new surrounds in Kathmandu.  It also sees Pugsley Buzzard settling into Sydney this week for a series of gigs from Manly to Katoomba; Surry Hills to Olympic Park.  Friday, swing your socks off from 9:00pm at Swing Pit.  Saturday, how about a dance at brunch to the Bridge City Jazz Band for something different.  Sunday, Unity Hall Jazz Band, a great opp. to show off those Bal moves!

Well, here it is!  For those ever-patient blues fans, a new monthly blues social dancing night at the Bedlam Bar in Glebe.  Come and join the first-night celebrations of the new Swing Patrol Juke Joint on Thursday, 3rd May.

This Week: 19 April 2012

This weekend Ben will be leaving our shores for a year of new adventures.  We'll miss you!  I will be counting down the days 'til his return and back in the driver's seat for this guide!  In the meantime, I'll keep you posted on all the dancing opportunities each week.  So, let's get started.

This Friday night is Jump Jive and Wail, going strong at the new venue.  Saturday, a swingin' night at the Roxbury Hotel.  Sunday, head over to Balmain for the Unity Hall Jazz Band.  Tuesday night there is an "ANZAC Day Eve" Blues Dance Party at the Unity Hall Hotel (note: no work the next day peeps!)

This week sees me counting the days to my departure for Nepal, the launch of a new blog site for the gig guide and my last guide for quite a while. My gig guide replacement will be taking over on this site next week. I'll let them introduce themselves then.

In the meantime this week check out Swing Pit on Friday. Sunday choose your own adventure with Unity Hall Jazz Band in Balmain or Geoff Bull and the Finer Cuts in Woolloomooloo.
